<br /> IT tS ORDERED, that the following Administrative Order govern-
<br /> ing the conduct of business of all persons licensed to sell al-
<br /> coholic beverages under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act in the
<br /> City of Portsmouth, Virginia, be, and the same hereby is, adopted:
<br /> On and after the effective date of this order, all persons li-
<br /> censed to sell alcoholic beverages under the provisions of the
<br /> Alcoholic Beverage ControlAo$, in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia,
<br /> shall refrain from selling any alcoholic beverages after the hour
<br /> of l:O0 A.Mo on each mud every day of the week, except Saturday,
<br /> and on Saturda~v, such persons shall refrain from selling alcoholic
<br /> beverages after the hour of 12:00, midnight, and shall not resume
<br /> the sale of alcoholic beverages until the hour of 6:00 A.M.
<br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, That this order shall apply with like effect
<br />to all ~)ersons in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, who may hold ~ li -
<br />tense, or permit, for the sale of beer having an alcoholic content not
<br />in excess of three and two-ten, the per centum (3.2%) of alcohol by weight.
<br /> IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, That a copy of this order be certified to the
<br />Council, City Manager, Commonwealth's Attorney and 0hief of Police of the
<br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and a copy be mailed each licensee in the
<br />City named.
<br /> This order shall become effective June 20, 1936.

<br /> On mo~ion of Mr. Fox that ~he City Attorney prepare an ordinance to prohibit the
<br />sale of beer and wine from 12:00 P.M. Saturday to 6:00 A.M. Monday, the matter was referred
<br />to the City Attorney for investigation and report.

<br /> Bill of J. Shirley Hope, State Game Warden, for $260.00, for killing lOb tagless
<br />dogs at $2.50 each, was presented, and on motion of Mr. Oast, the Oity Treasurer was autho -
<br />rized to pay same from funds in her hands from collection of Dog Taxes.

<br /> The following letter from Mr. E.C. Bain was read; and on motion, referred to the
<br />City Manager:
<br />
<br /> "Having seen in the Pilot the playground on Court St. might be considered for
<br />new ArmoE¢ site, wish to call the a~tsntion of your City Council to adjoining ~roperty from
<br />the S.A.L. ~raok 120 ft. south and 100 ft. east to playground wi~h 25 ft. outlet to Wythe St.,
<br />which is piled ready for building. I have this proper~y for sale and would be glad to have
<br />you consider it at the proper
