_ADr_~I 27th~ lq~7. resolutions passed at The last meeting of the League, it was requested that the preliminary report be submitted and that answers be obtained to the various'questions asked therein in order to be helpful to the Committee in deciding on its final legislative program to be sub- mitted to-the League. Conventlon at Virginia Beach on~ September 20th and 21st. I trust you will bring this matter to the attention of the Council at its very next meeting and advise us in accordance with the request As set forth in the bulletin as to the answers to the ques- tions asked° The Committee desires that answers to these questions be returned by A~ril 15th so that it can reassemble, canvass the answers, and make its final report. Hill & Oompany, on auditing the books and accounts of the Norfolk County Ferries, for the month of February~ was received and ordered filed. Motion of Mr. Fox that the Virginia Electric & Power Company be requested to put into 'opera~lo~ SecTions I ~ 2 - 3 of the report of the Bus Complaint Committee, and ap- proved by the Oouncil March 23rd and April 13th, and agreed To by them, for a period of thir- ty days, ahd if satisfactory, be made permanent, and to advertise the same, was adopted. Motion of Mr. Weiseman ttlat the pension of E.O. Parker be made $~O.00 per month, beginning April 16th, 1937, was adopted. Motion of Mr Wetseman to place on its first reading, the following ordinance: "AN ORDINANCE ~0 A~END AND RE-ORDAIN SECTION SEVENTY FOUR OF THE LICENSE TAX ORDINANCE, ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL APRIL 13, 1937." .... was adopted, and by the following vote: Nays: Leigh, Fox, Grimes, Howard, Weiseman, Wilson 9 None Hutchins, Warren, On motion adjourned.
