On motion of Mr. Fox, the Treasurer was authorized to pay same from funds in <br />· Her h~nds from collection of Dog Taxes. <br /> <br /> The fqliowing le~terw~$ read a~d referred to the School Board: <br /> <br /> "At a regular'meeting of the Portsmout~ Central Labor Union, held June 1Eth, <br />1~37, a mo~ion was adopted that we go on record in regards to vocational education in Ports- <br />mouth, Va., and Norfolk County, Va. Public $chools~ <br /> The Portsmouth Central Labor Union favors a program whereby the entire voca~ <br />tional education program is confined to the schools, and kept under the direct super~ision of <br />the head of the vocational education department of theCity~ County and State. <br /> This body is in favor of improvement and enlargement of the present program <br />and facilities as soon as possible, and continued until all those who desire a vocational edm <br />ucation may be enabled to procure it. <br /> <br />lie Schools.
