<br /> TO: WINDOW WASHERS".
<br /> Bill of J. Shirley Hope, State Game Warden, for destroying ninety four tagless
<br />dogs at $2.50 each, amounting to $235.00, was received, and on motion of Mr. Fox, the Treas-
<br />mrer was authorized te pay same from funds in her hands from collection cf Dog Taxes.
<br /> The City Manager stated that he would like to attend the 0ity Managers' Conven-
<br />tion, which meets in New Orleans, October 18th - 21st, 1937.
<br /> Motion of Mr. Weiseman tm grant the Manager a vacation to attend said conven-
<br />tion, and that the Mayor be authorized to perform the duties of the City Manager, in his ab-
<br />sence, was adopted.
<br />

<br />Minutes of regular meet. ing held September 28th, were read and approved.

<br />The following communication from the City Manager was read:

<br /> "When Washington Ward was first annexed to the City, there was built a Joint
<br />police and fire station. In the back room of the Police Department, a Jail cell was built.
<br />This cell has no~ been in use for several years, and the Chief of Police reeues~s that it be
<br />moved and set up at the City Jail.
<br /> I recommend that this be done."

<br />On motion ordered filed.
