<br />The following communication from the City Manager was read:
<br />
<br /> "Willis Riddick, white, a laborer, has been working for the Ci~y twenty-three
<br />years. He is now physically unfit for further service. Dr. Brown reports that he has blood
<br />pressure of 220, and a hernia on the left side, which is probably incurable. Dr. Denny is of
<br />the opinion that he should not be allowed to work.
<br /> I recommend that we pension him at 830.00 per month, to take effect at once."

<br />Motion~of Mr. Wilson ko concur in the M~nager's recommendation, was adopted.
