<br /> d. An ordinance e~tabl~g the rate for sewage
<br />discharge into the City's system from the present $1.0694 per
<br />1,000 gallons to $1.1362 per 1,000 gallons.

<br /> e. An ordinance establishing the monthly cost for refuse
<br />collection at $14.00 per month for households (currently
<br />$13.00) and corresponding rates for additional collections
<br />per week as well as the number of containgrs emptied per
<br />collection.
<br />
<br /> f. An ordinance establishing the Classification and Pay
<br />Plan for the Fiscal Year under which the compensation and pay
<br />for our employees is administered.
<br />
<br /> g. The appropriations ordinance for the Operating Budget
<br />for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996 and ending June
<br />30, 1997. The ordinance reflects the budget as recommended
<br />and which has been previously presented and submitted for
<br />your review.
<br />
<br /> The proposed appropriations and tax ordinances, as well
<br />as the other budget companion ordinances listed above, are
<br />submitted for Council's review in order to provide you with
<br />the overall actions that will be necessary to implement the
<br />budget as recommended. City Council's final approval is
<br />recommended for adoption of the Annual Operating Budget for
<br />the 1996-97 fiscal year."

<br />Samuel Lamb, 953 Quaile Road, Virginia Beach, spoke on the
<br />Stormwater Maintenance fee.

<br />Jamie Adair, 362 Washington Street, requested funding for the
<br />PARC Shelter.
<br />
<br />Richard Journee, 309 Thelmar Lane, spoke on retirees pay
<br />raise options.
<br />
<br />Lloyd Beazley, 3186 Reese Drive, requested fund for salary
<br />increases for ShOck Trauma TechniCians.
<br />
<br /> Motion by Mr. Hawks, and seconded by Mr. Martin,
<br />adopt the following ordinance, and was adopted by the

<br />1992-28, 1993-25, 1993-43, 1994-35 AND 1995-48, IMPOSING AND
<br />LEVYING TAXES FOR EACH FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1ST AND
<br />ENDING JUNE 30TH, UNLESS OTHERWISE CHAi~GED BY COUNCIL, ON
<br />REAL ESTATE, TANGIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY, PRIVATELY OWNED
