Apr~l~40. <br /> <br /> SIXTH: This Association suggests that each and every General 0ontractor and <br />Sub-contractor be issued a number similar to ths. t of the State Registration Board of Contract- <br />ors, and be required to display this number on the outside of each and every job, which would <br />no doubt be of material assistance to the License and Building Inspectors in checking Jobs and <br />performing such work. <br /> <br /> SEVENTH: The Association goes on resor& as being in favor of making a min!m~m <br />charge of $1.00 for each inspection made by the Building Inspector to take care of any addi <br />tional exoense incurred by the City in pro~ding an assistant to the Building Inspector, if <br />such assistant be' nece~ssa~y. <br /> <br /> EIGHTH: The Association would be glad To render any assistance it may be able <br />to perform in drafting a Minimum Building Requirement Code. <br /> <br /> NINTH: The Portsmouth Contractors~ Association is composed of members ~_o <br />have followed the Building trade the greater part of their lives$ s~d v~_o D~ve homes and pay <br />their taxes in the City of Portsmouth and Norfolk County, ~ud feel that they are due some re - <br />lief from the unfair and ~uethical practices employed by certain builders, etc. now contract- <br />in~ and performing work in our City, ~nd respectfully ask our Honorable City Council to take <br />some action on this matter immediately. <br /> <br />J.L.
