3'39 <br /> <br />free transfer privileges between the bus lines operated by Virginia Electric ar.d Power Company <br />in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and adjacent Norfolk~ County, Virginia; mud <br /> WHEREAS, Virginia Electric and Power Company proooses to file with the State <br />Corporation Commission of Virginia an application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and <br />Necessity to operate the said motor bus passenger t_raqsportation line; <br />N6~~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE .COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH: <br />Section l: That the application of Virginia Electric and Power Comoany to the <br />State Corporation Commission of Virginia for a Certificate of Public Convenience and ~ecessity <br />to ooerate motor bus passenger trs~usportation service between the corner of High and Crat~ford <br />Stretts, in the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia~ and thc new housing developments k~uown as "New <br />Gosoort"~ "~Cradock C-ardens" and ~Navy Yard Housing Site 2~, in the County of Norfolk~ Virginia, <br />be, mud it is hereby approved~ sm~d the State Corporation Commission is hereby respectfully re- <br />quested to issue this Certificate in order that the occupants of the new housing units may <br />have the advantage of the transportation se~vice~ together with the free transfer orivilege be~ <br />tween the new motor bus line and the other motor bus lines operated by Virginia El-ectris and <br />Power Co,any in the City of Portsmouth and adjacent County of Norfolk, Virginia° <br /> Section 2~ That the City Clerk be~ and he is, hereby authorized and directed <br />to forward to the State Corporation ~Commission of Virginia a certified copy of this Resolution <br />after its adoption. <br /> Section 3~ This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after <br />its adoption. <br /> i, L.C.
