The exact figures will <br />be furnished at your next meeting." <br /> <br />On motion, ordered filed. <br /> <br /> 9th - "With the influx of unlimited numbers of people and traffic conditions <br />which d~serve modern methods in solving them, I would like ~o suggest thatdue consideration be <br />given t~ the recommendation that the monument on the corner of High a nd Court Sts. be moved to <br />the City Park or into the Court House yard." <br /> <br /> ~tion~ Mr. Howard for the Manager to ascertain cost of same, was adopted. <br /> <br /> lOth - "I would like to request an appropriation of $500~OO in order that a <br />member of our present Police Departmen~ be sent to the National Police Academy for training." <br /> <br /> Notion of Mr. Fox to appropriate $500.00 for said purpose, was adopted, and by <br />the following ~vote: <br /> <br />Ayres: Leigh, Fox, Grimes, Hall, Howard, Hutchins, <br /> Lawrence, Warren, Wilson <br />Nays: None <br /> <br /> lith - "On May 5th, 1942, the Traffic Safety Commission Held its monthly meet- <br />ing and several recommendations were made to the City Manager. <br /> It appears at this time that somethihg must be done to relieve the <br />flow of traffic at the ferry, as well as attacking the problem to allow our traffic to move <br />with as~much freedom as possible. The great influx of people causes us to have changes and al- <br />though there is a possibility of reduction of automobile traffic, consideration should be given <br />to the fact that many additional people~e coming into-our City, which will more than offset <br />the reduction in motor transPortation. <br /> That loading zones be established opposite the Pilot-Ledger office on <br />King Sro~ <br /> <br />Motion of Mr. Hutchins to concur in the Manager's recommendation, was adopted. <br /> <br />12th - The Manager presented the following, which was ordered filed: <br /> <br /> · "We are inclosing our reports on examination O f the accounts and records of <br />Kenneth A.
