"Confirming our understanding at ~he,meeting of your Committee Thursday,
June 3rd, I am submitting abrief report on the points discussed.
Takingthem in the order you h~dthem listed:
l~ SPEED SCHEDULE - Since any schedule fi~t~ing the more expert and
faster bus operator would be dangerous for the slower opera, or and since an ideal schedule
under actual operating conditions can seldom be rum, so that on such a schedule a great maJo -
rity of bussem.W~uld be late, suchschedules are deemed unworkable, and actual experience has
proved.that schedulesoanaot be maintained without someleews~v provided. However, ~he leeways
on the various routes may not allbe adjusted to present traffic conditions and with that in
mind, l~ is agreed that a s~udy will be made of the Oradock, Prentls Park and Park View lines
with the~idea cf emtting do.wa the waiting Periods if practicable,~
2. EXPRESS.~m~RVICE - This type of service has been unde~ discussion and
has been given serious study since the beginning of the present emergency. In general, it rep-
resents an additional luxury service discriminatory in c~arac~er which cam not be rendered
