Warren, Pearle Jo Wilson and Arthur S. Owens, City Manager. The following call for the meeting was reads 1st UPlease call a special meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, at 6:00 P.M.~ to consider the Jail question." 6: CO 2nd - The Oity Manager read a letter ~rom the Commissioner of Corrections and commented that the Board of Supervisors of Norfolk County had appointed~Er. Treakle and Mr. Haywood a committee to confer with him, with power to act, with reference to the Jail. The plan was that the County and the City were to return ~heir male prisoners and the female prisoners were to be incarcerated on the ground floor of the Norfolk County Jail. The Oity was to pay Tae ~st of keeping, based on actual lodging cost and the City was not to participate in any construction cost, due to changes in the Norfolk County Jail. Notion of Mr. Fox that the City Manager ~nd 0ity Attorney be appointed a committee to confer ~ith the committee from the Board of Supervisors to work out a plan tha~ would be agreeable to both bodies, with power~to act, was adhered.
