HoWard that the City Manager h~ve all milk coming int~ the <br />City inspected and to continue our routine of in~pecZionM until advised otherwise by the Coun- <br />cil, was adopted. ~~f~ <br /> <br /> The following lette~ was received: <br /> "Recent expansion o f this the Omicron Club, Inc., located at 204 Bouth <br />Green St., Portsmou~th, Vao~[~as added the building located at the southwest cornermof Glasgow <br />~ud Green Bis., this said property s. dJoining the location of the Omicron Club. <br /> - It is our plans to develop ~he newly acquired property, ~d to establie~ <br />there a modern hotel f or colD,ed people - a need ~hat is greatly felt in Portsmouth. <br /> At presen~ there is no hotel for the accommodation of colored people: <br />and it is often a source and caus~ of embarrassmen~ to have t ravelers with business in Ports <br />mouth to find it necessary t~ secure hotel rooms and facilities across the river. Portsmouth, <br />we believe, should have an up-to-da~e, respectable, cleanly-operated colored hotel, and to this <br />end~ we have secured the property referred to ahove for the development of this idea. Journee and that he should <br />be refunded $319.92, the amount deducted from salary for pension, he having drawn no~ension. <br /> ~ti~n of Mr. ~ilson to refund Policeman Journee's Estate the sum of <br />$319..92, the amount of his payment into the pension fund, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Er.
