<br />me in the defense of the action and he has reached a comprise settlement with the plaintiff ~n
<br />the sum of $500.00, which ~[r. Corbitt and myself recommend be made. The City is to cay the
<br />court cost incurred by it and the plaintiff is to pay his cost. As the City has incurred cer -
<br />rain expenses in connection with this case, I request an appropriation of $8~O.O0."
