<br />45-143 have recuested an extension of ninety days on their
<br />contract, and
<br /> WHEREAS, ~he contract .was to have be~n completed on June
<br />12th And the extension o~ time requested would be to Septem-
<br />ber 12b-~,l~$~, and
<br /> WHEREAS, the co~tractor has bee~ unable to secure radiation,
<br />overhead doors, and has been delayed in delivery of brick,
<br />steel and limestone,
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia, ~ hat the said contractor shall be granted the re-
<br />quested ninety days extension and be relied of any penalties
<br /> Trom-failure to complete this contract on time, subject-to the
<br />approval of the Federal W0r~s Agency if neoessary.~

<br />ginia (herein called the "Applicant"), an application for Federal as
<br />sistance under the so-called Lanham~Ac~, asa mended, and the UNITED
<br />STATES OF AMERICA, actin~by and through the. Cpmmissioner of Com-
<br />munity ~acilities, has transmitted to the ~pplicant for acceptance an
<br />agreemen~ o~ Federal assistance in connection, with t h~ project .referred
<br />to in sai~ application and described in said Agreement; and
<br />WHEREAS, said.Agreement has been duly read in open meeting, fully
<br />considered in accordance with alt pertitent rules of,procedure and
<br />legal requirements~ and made a part of the~Ap~licant s public records;

<br /> WHEREA~, it is deemed advisable and in the public interest that said
<br />AGB~ENENT be accepted;
