<br /> 9th - ~'O.B. Dunn was appointed Chief of Police on September let, 19~4, and
<br />in furtherance of the r~sponsibilities oS this position and that of the Chief of the Fire De-
<br />partment and Chief of the Electrical Bureau, it is my recommendation that the salary of each
<br />of these department heads be increased to $4j000.OO per year, effective July let, 1945. A
<br />special appropriation of $825.00 is necessary."

<br />was ado~Zed regulating traffic and the parking of vehicles on portion~ of Third, Fourth~ Fifth,
<br />Sixth and Seventh Sis., Madison St., Edwards St.., and Gesport Road, and providing penalties,
<br />etc.
<br /> In the first paragraph of the ordinance, inadvertently, the direction
<br />for traffic was not consistent with the request mad~ to the City for the improvement of traffic
<br />conditions in the area. We inadvBrtently had the ordinance adopted in contraconvention to
<br />the street signs and I am therefore'recommending that the following ordinance be placed on
<br />its first reading:
