We would appmeciate this amount being re- <br />ap~opriated to Aceour~ 315." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Weiseman to place an appropriation of $9,199.88 for said <br />purpose, on its first reading, was adopted. <br /> <br /> 14th - "An appropriation of $5~000.00 will be necessary in order to com- <br />plete sidewalk work already committe~ for the year. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Howard to place on its first reading an appropriation of <br />$5,000.00 for said purpose~ was adopted. <br /> <br /> l~th - '~You authorized me on September 28th, 19~5, to negotiate a c~n <br />~aet for ~ dam and spillway at Ls~e Kilby - the total cost of the work to be done by F.J.' <br />Gannaway is $42,500.00, for which we have $25,000.00 appropriated from the Water,Fund. <br /> it is imperative that this wo~ be done and I am therefore re- <br />questing a special appropriation of $17~500.OO to complete the work." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. ~oward to place an appropriation of $17,500.O0 for said~ ur- <br />pose on its ~irst reading and to authorize the City Manager to execute contract with F.J.~am- <br />naway, for said work, contract to be approved by the~City Attorney, was adopted. <br /> <br /> ieth - "Mr. Jordan Turner of 301 Wesley St. is de-~drous Of installing <br />t~ee 20,000 tanks on his property, which require~ Councilmanic action, i am recommending <br />that authority be granted." <br /> <br /> ~Mr. Host of the Fire-Prevention Bureau stated that theCity ordinance rela- <br />tive to the installation of tanks is more drastic than the Federal regulations and Mr. Host <br />was am~horized to ge~ the Federal regulations compiled and present them to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />17th The Manager presented the following letter. <br /> <br /> "Regarding City-owned property located at the corner of Lincbln Street and <br />Elm Avenue and particularly lets a part thereof and which face Elm Avenue. Request is hereby <br />m~de that they be off~red for sale and as evidence of the fact that I propose~to'bid for the <br />purchase of them at such time as a sale'is arranged please find herewith c~eck-ih the sum of <br />$10.OO.
