<br />dam and spillway at Lake Kilby - the total cost of the work to be done by F.J. Garraway is
<br />442,500.00, for which we have $25,000.00 appropriated from the Water Fund.
<br /> It is imperative that this work be done and I am thereffore requesting
<br />a special appropriation of $1~,500.00 to complete the Work[~
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Howard to appropriate 41~,500.00 from the Water Fund for
<br />said purpose, was adopted, and by the following vote~

<br />The following 'letter was read and on motion laid on table:

<br /> ~You will ~lease find enclosed a certified copy of a resolution entered by
<br />the Board of Supervisors of YorkCounty on the l~th day ~f October, 1945 in whic~ they are very
<br />anxious to see the proposed bridge across York River locat~ed at Yorktown, Virginia. Almost
<br />e~eryone concedes this is the rightful place for ~his bridge. In fact, it is the only broken
<br />link on Route l~, this side of the Potomac River.
<br /> If you can do so, the Board of Supervisors of York County would like you
<br />to pass.a similar resolution and send a copy to the Governor of Virginia, the State Highway
<br />Commission, Senator Byrd, and your representative in COngress.
