December 18th, <br /> <br />The following ~e~e~ was read and ordered filed: <br /> <br /> ~T~i~s acknowledges resolutions of the Oity of portsmouth, adopted by <br />the Council at its meeting on the 27th day of November, endorsing the ~plication of the Nor- <br />folk-Southern Bus Corporation for a certificate of public convenience and necessitynow pending <br />before th~Commission, which is set for hearing on December 12th, at ll~O0 o'clock A.M. <br /> <br />Yours truly, <br /> <br />H. Lester Hooker, Commissioner.'" <br /> <br />The .following letter was read: <br /> <br /> '~We are. inclosing a copy of a resolutipn requesting theCity Council of <br />Portsmouth and the Board of Supervisors of Norfolk County zo continue the authorized'activity <br />of the Portsmouth-Norfolk County Committee for the Disposition of Public War Housing for the <br />purpose of interpreting the official dispositipn plan for the area and for the purpose of co- <br />ordinating all disposition activities. <br /> The resolution was unanimously adopted by the Authority at its regular <br />meeting on Thursday, December 6, 19~5, and the Commissioners expressed themselves as en~h~si~ <br />astically favoring the co~mi~tee%s continuation as a public service to the eo~m~nity. <br /> Your favorable action in this urgent matter is respectfully requested. <br /> <br />Yours very truly, <br /> <br />Housing Authority of the City of Portsmouth <br /> <br /> Signed Butler Ballance, <br /> Executive Director." <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Grimes that' we continue our members on said committee,was <br />adopted. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. ~eiseman that ~he City offices be closed on the 2~th of <br />December, 19~ and December 31st, 19~5, was adopted, <br /> <br />On motion adjourned. <br /> <br />C1 erk. <br /> <br />Approved - ~ <br /> . <br /> <br /> President. <br /> <br /> <br />
