<br />The following letter from the City Attorney was read:

<br /> "According to instructions, Z have secured from Mr. E.L. Price a deed con-
<br />veying to the City sufficient land ~o extend Sixth Street. The deed also includes the narrow
<br />strip of land lying between SZxth and Washington S~reets and North of Brighton Street. The
<br />deed was given with the understanding ~hat the City will relieve or pay the following taxes
<br />assessed against ~r. Price on the land lying north of Randolph Street. He has conveyed for
<br />the benefi~ of the Portsmouth and Norfolk County Building and Loan Association the balance
<br />of the lan~.lying north of RandolphStreet,consisting of two small parcels~.~The Association
<br />has agreed to release the deed of ~rus~ held by it on this land and the land conveyed ~o the
<br />City. Mr. Price is to pay the~ taxes on the land lying south of Randolph Street, amounting to
<br />about $500.00.
