<br /> 19th - "Jaroho Brothers, our contractors, under Project VA 4~-l~l,
<br />Sanitary Sewers #3, hav~ completed all of their work in the contract with the except~ion of
<br />minor sections of pavement, and they are asking t~at they be released from the balance of this
<br />work, agreeing to have the balance o~ the caving done through the force account under Docket
<br />~-141. Our engineers, Greeley and Hansen~ and the City Engineer, as well as the Federal
<br />Works Agency-, have concurred in this agreement, and I am requemting the adoption of the at
<br />tached resolution."

<br /> ~WHEREAS, Jarcho Brothers, Inc., under Docket VA 44-1~t,
<br />Contract No. 3 has completed all the work in their contract
<br />with the exception of minor sections of pavement, and
<br /> WI~EHEAS, the Contractor has requested to be releamed
<br />from thio work in order to close their contract, and
<br /> WHEREAS~ the City will have the paving completed at a
<br />future date and receive oayment for same thorough Force &c -
<br />count under Docket VA ~2141,
<br /> BE IT resolved by the Council of the City of Portsmouth,
<br />Virginia, that the said Jarcho Brothe~s, Inc., contract~be
<br />considered complete and that the City will have the paving
<br />completed at a later date, subject to the approval of the
<br />~ederal Works Agency."

<br />On motion of Mr. Grimes, said resolution was adopted.

<br />#3, has requested an extension of fifty-one days on their account. ~
<br /> Our engineers, as well as the City Engineer, approve thi's ex-~
<br />tension, and I would appreciate the adoption of tb~e attached resolution."

<br />raw water flume at Lake Kilby.
<br /> The Portsmouth Construction Company has-agreed to construct
<br />the flume for the sum of $8,830.00, which is the lowest price we have been able ~o secure
<br /> I amrequesting tha~ authority be given me to execute a
<br />contract for the proper officials of the City ~o signo~
