The taxes due on ~hese lots amount To $~.~5, which are delinquent1. I am inclosing my check for $2~.00 and will offer at sale $3Z5.00 for these two lots. Va!~ Motion of Mr. Gri~es to concur ~n the Manager's request, was adopted. llth - '~I am ih receipt of thefollowing letter from the Seaboard Air Line Railroad, and find that their request is feasible and practical: 'The condition on north end of Crawford Street, where our switch engine serves the Steamship Line, local en~erpriseand warehouse in this section, which requires~considerable switching and a~tomo- biles parked on east side of Crawford Stree~ creates a very dangerous hazard'as the Trainmen working with the engine ~ave to get in drive- way ~as~ side of Crawford Street to give sigaals to Engineer, which they are subject to being struck by automobiles at any time, and if they do not pass signals from this positio~, the automobiles parked on east side of Crawford Street blocks the vision from Engineer, which in turn is a very dangerous hazard and would cause considerable damage to ~rain and warehouse property and probably personal injuries ~o employees working in &nd around warehouses if these employes did not use the driveway on this street to pass the.signals to engineer. I would appreciate very much if you would restrict the parking of automobiles on east side of Crawford Street between London and North Streets which I feel would eliminaZe all hazards in this section while the necessary switching is being performed. Most of the material for the High Street installation has been re ceived, but not enough to proceed with the work. Pta ctically none of the memorial for the London Street installation has come in tO date. Respecting the other orders, we are planning to proceed as fast as.possible with traffic light connections, increase in size of bulbs, and moves of present equipment, but we are holding in abeyance all installations of new equipment ordered after January 1st, 19[~6, in accordance with the terms of our contract. Wherever a requested move of present equipment involves installation of new equipment for proper spacing,- we will confer with your electric department before proceeding with the move.
