<br />The Company reserves the right to substitute multiple lamps of equal
<br />lumen rating for series lamps wharever it may desire for any reason
<br />to make such substitution.

<br />For the operation o£ any lamp installed du~ing a contract yea~ and
<br />not in operation for all of such contract year, t~erates and cha~ges
<br />shall be determined on a pro rata basis at the yearly rates herein
<br />speci£~ed.

<br /> (8~ Rate for Traffic Signals The rate to be chs~ged by the Company and
<br />paid by the City for traffic signal lights, including flasher war~ing lights, shall be Twenty-
<br />four Dollars-($24.00) per signal per year.

<br /> (6) .Additional Lamps The Company agrees that it will, from time to time,
<br />during the team of thzs agreement, fuE~ish such lamps, in addition to those specified in the
<br />above mentioned schedule, on existing lighting circuits or extensions to the s~me as herein-
<br />after provided for, together with the necessary distribution system and fixtures, and will
<br />op~rate ~ndmaintain the s~e as may be ordered by the City, at the same rate per lamp of the
<br />typ~ and size specified; provided, however, that the Company shall not be required te fumumlsh
<br />and install additional lam~s, wires, poles and fixtures within one year next preceding the
<br />date o2 expiration of this agreement, or any renewal thereof, unless the same has been further
<br />renewed for an additional term.

<br /> (?) .~ondi$ions f?r'Extensions The Company agrees that it will, at its own
<br />cost and expense, make such extensmons to its street lighting system as may be ~easonably re -
<br />quired by the City.
<br />
<br /> (8) ?_~pages.and .Interruptions of Service The City shall cause its Police
<br />or other proper ~thormtmes to report to the Company, ~s promptly as possible, ~ny and all
<br />lights that are out or not buning properly, and if the lights so reported shall not b e repaire<
<br />and relit as soon thereafter as practicable, then the City may make the following deductions
<br />from the payment fc~ the current mont~hs during v~ich said lamp is out:

<br /> There shall be a nfo rata deduction at the rate of the compensation to ~
<br />paid hereunder, for ~uy substantial per~od of time during which a ny of the lamps shall fail to
<br />~n, an accurate account o f which shall be kept by the Company and by the City. Any differ -
<br />once between the two accounts shall be equitably adjusted.
<br />
<br /> The Company shall r~store the service with reasonable promptness after
<br />any interruption due to acts of God, or public enemy, sleets, storms or unavoidable accidents
<br />o~ byany other cause.
<br />
<br /> (9) QUal~t~of Lam~ The Company will at any and all times, upon notice
<br />f~cm the City ~ - ~
<br /> Ms_nager, or d~ly authorized representative of the Cmty, ~emove or repai~ at its
<br />cost, any lamp bulb deemed below the t~ade rating of such lamp, and mil1 replace the same with
<br />a lamp bulb of the same type, w~ich shall be o2 the s~me trade rating.
<br />
<br /> The City shall have the further right, at any and all times it may se -
<br />lecture make separate and independent test of any lmmp that~may desire and for this purpose
<br />the City by and th~ongh its duly authorized representatives, shall have the right of aceess to
<br />any endall lamps, applian~eS~ fixtures ~ud property of the said Company which the said City
<br />may find necessary to make said test.
