<br />p~maping station in the amouut of ~108,789.80 and that of
<br />Yeomans Brothers for equipment, in the ~ount of
<br />were rotund to be the best received for the work indicated,
<br /> NOW, THEREF0~E, Be it Resolved by.the Coumcil of the City
<br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the proposals of A.G. Pinkston
<br />&Comp~uy and Yeomans Brothers, be accepted ~ud contracts for
<br />the above station ~ud equipment be awarded
<br />tioned bidders, subject to the approval of
<br />~gency of the United States of America

<br />that we secure the balance of this money from the Feder~ Government just as rapidly as pos-
<br />sible, and th that end~ i believe we should ~t up this $45,000;00; You will observe there-
<br />fore, that the total amount now needed to complete al! of the work, with the exception of ~dme
<br />outfall and the plant, is $70,000.00?

<br />$~5,000.00 for Back taxes since 1957 and I recommend that an appropriation of this amount fro~
<br />the Water Department funds be placed on its first reading, in order that the taxes may be paid

<br />ment funds for sa~d purpose be placed on its first reading, was adopted.

<br />City Home, last April, and the Manager had promised certain friends of _his that he would ap-
<br />point him to said position, but has nov done so smd has kept h~m waiting for six months and
<br />he asked the Council if they thought he was being treated fairly.
