Firm insistence that the p~oposed project be a direct <br /> tua%uel con-uect~on between the two cities, and not a hop-skip-and <br /> jump affair cs~lli~g for a t~uel to Ber~ey and then to Norfolk <br /> via b~idge. <br /> 2. That the project be a fou~-lane tunnel affording direct <br /> connection between the cities and not a tu~o-iane tunnel as proposed <br /> by certain officials of a neighboring city. <br /> 5o Location of the entrance to the proposed tunnel should <br /> be north of High Street; no ~urther west th~u Effingh~m c~ possibly <br /> %~Jashington Street; and no further south than North Street. <br /> <br /> <br />
