The Czty recognizes the County's mu~u~o~a~e need for room and will allow promptly the u~e of the entire oromud~loor of the Court House and as much of the second floor of the Court St. fire station as needed for their operations. ~aat the County a~d City agree to sell eventually the Court House oroperty and the proceeds with additional money would be used for ~he construction of two buildings, in the City of Portsmouth - one for the City and one for ~he County. ?F-aen the City aud County are ready to proceed, the City agrees to donate to the County az least one half of a city block in or nea~ the area of the proposed Portsmouth Civic Center, ~here the City plmus to construct its ~guniclpal building. ~me Co~_uty could use this ss3ea for the construction o f its building and in addition, it would provide adequate space for the parking of County cars.
