<br /> a modification of a certain Order of said Commission of June 8th, 194~,
<br /> so as to pez~mit said Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company to vote
<br /> stock of said New York Central Railroad Company; and
<br /> V~hereas, in the op~on of this Council the foregoing are but
<br /> parts of a plan looking toward the ultimate control and consolidation of
<br /> the said Chesapeak~ and Ohio Railwa~¥ Company and the New York Central
<br /> Rai~lroad Compa~uy, which would net be to the interest of the City o f Ports-
<br /> mouth, Va., therefore,
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Va.,
