<br />Highways and~ as you recall, this is the first of a series of claims filed by the Engineer's
<br />Office, totaling ~368,000~00o If you wile fecal, you authorized His Honor, the Mayor, a~d
<br />the ~anager, sometime ago, to proceed and secure help from responsible persons toward substan-
<br />tiating cum claims for damages."

<br />for fees for the Plumbzng Inspector with Sectzon ~readin~as follows:
<br /> 'Section 4 - Any person, fi~m~ c~rp~ration duly
<br /> licensed by the ~ws of this State to conduct a
<br /> plumbing or contrasting business may pay to t he
<br /> City Collector a fe~ of Fifty Dollars which shall be
<br /> in p~me~t of all inspections desired byhim during
<br /> the period of twelve months immediately following
<br /> the date o~ such payment.~
<br /> I am recommending that Section Four be deleted from the ordinanc,
<br />and leave inspection fees as required inother sections."

<br /> 12th - "We adopted an 0rdinsnee on April 12th, 1938 entitled "A~ 0rdi-
<br />~ance Providing Fees for Inspection by the Electrical InSpector' with Section 4 which reads
<br />as follows: ~Any person, finn or ~o~poration duly licensed by the laws ~f thi~ State to con-
<br />duct an electrical business, may pay to the City Collector a fee of Fifty Dollars which shall
<br />be in pa~ent of all inspections desired byhim during the:period of twelvemonths iw~ediatel~
<br />following the date of such payment'.
<br /> I would respectfully recommend that this section be el~inated
<br /> from the Ordinance and place on all electrical work a fee basis, previously established in
<br /> other sections of this ordinanceo~
