<br />to the proposed 10% ,.~musement Tax in the City o£ Portsmouth, Va., ~d that the Honorable City
<br />Council be advised of the above action, and that this proposed ~tmusement Tax not be levied at
<br />this time.
<br /> BE IT FURTi~R RESOLVED: That the present high cost of living is getting
<br />beyond, the average working man's income and ~ay additional tax at this time would be incon-
<br />sistent and would work a hardship on the citizens of this City.

<br />grounds for their recreational programs.
<br /> In consideration of o~ willingness for the City to use these recreation-
<br />al facilities, w e are asking that you enter into an agreement with us as follows:
<br /> First - Permit ns to use the land adjoining-our property on
<br /> the south for playgromud facilities.
<br /> Seco~d - That you will furnish all water necessary for the oper-
<br /> ation of the swimming pool, shovzers and recreational building,
