I~otion of Mr. Sturtevaat to concur in the Msmager's reco~endation, was adopted. 9th - ~The Virginia Electric and Power Compmuy is requesting an easement right of way over some of the City's property in Nansemond County, ~iehhas been approved by the City Attorney and I am recommending that the proper officers of the City b e authorized to enter in. to mu agreement with the Virginia Electric and Power Oompsm. y allowing easement rights on plan marked ~5~ A. Since the easement right is rather lengthy, copy is being held in my office subject to your approval.~ Motion of Mr. Grimes to concUr in the M~aager~s recommendation, was adopted. 10th - "The annexation orde~ which becomes effective on ~Januaryl,1948 provides that the County of Norfolk and the School Board of the County shall furnish to the City of Portsmouth a deed for the property which the City will acquire 'under the order, prO - ~ided the City requests a deed. The attached letter has been received from the P~chasing Agent today ~ud i recommend the acceptance of the lowest bid. This hose is necessary for the replacing of worn-out hose as well as necessary extensions and improvements.
