May 22, 2001 <br /> <br />Parcel 4. <br /> <br />A permanent right to drain storm water from Parcels I and 2 on the plat entitled <br />"SUBDIVISION OF HARBOR CENTER SECTION ONE PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA" <br />Scale: 1" = 100', dated August 27, 2000, and duly recorded in the Clerk's Office of the <br />Circuit Court of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia in Map Book 18, at Pages 138-139. into <br />the storm water drainage pipes located in the right of way of Harbor Center Way and <br />through the easement area designated on the Harbor Center Plat as "20' UTILITY <br />EASEMENT HEREBY RESERVED BY THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH" and into and <br />through the parcels designated as "PARCEL 3A-lB", "PARCEL 3A-1C" and <br />"CENTERLINE OF 20' UTILITY EASEMENT HEREBY DEDICATED TO THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH" on the plat entitled "MINOR SUBDIVISION OF PARCEL 3A-1 <br />PORTCENTRE COMMERCE PARK, PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA" (M. B. 17, P. 1-2)" <br />Scale: 1" = 100', dated December 1, 2000, prepared by Rouse-Sirine Associates, Ltd. <br />and duly recorded in the aforesaid Clerk's Office in Map Book 18 at page 154. <br /> <br />Parcel 5. <br /> <br />A nonexclusive easement and right of unobstructed and unrestricted vehicular <br />and pedestrian access of approximately 24 feet in width across the portions of the <br />property adjacent to the City hall Complex, which are currently paved and used as a <br />driveway or lane between the intersection of Columbia Street and Water Street, and the <br />parcel shown and designated as "SOUTH INLET" on that certain plat entitled: "PLAT <br />SHOWING PROPERTY TO BE CONVEYED TO INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT <br />AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA", which <br />said plat is to be recorded in the Clerk's office of the Circuit Court of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia. <br /> <br />Parcel 6. <br /> <br />The exclusive and unobstructed easement and right to install, construct, operate, <br />maintain, inspect, repair, replace and remove communication and utility lines and <br />systems and underground fuel storage, lines and systems in the areas designated <br />as "UTILITY EASEMENT (SEE SHEET 2)" and "EASEMENT FOR UNDERGROUND <br />FUEL STORAGE TANKS (SEE SHEET 2)" on the "PLAT SHOWING PROPERTY TO <br />BE CONVEYED TO INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA", together with a nonexclusive easement <br />and right of ingress and egress over the adjoining land for access thereto and the <br />construction, installation and repair of said facilities. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, <br />authorized to execute such plats and other documents as may be determined <br />necessary, or appropriate, to carry out the intent of this Resolution." <br /> <br />Ayes: Benn, Griffin, Moody, Pitts, Robinett, Whitehurst, Holley <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />- New Business - <br /> <br />01 - 174 - Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />There were no appointments. <br /> <br />01 - 175 - Items Submitted by Council Members <br /> <br />Councilman Whitehurst spoke on volunteerism in the City of Virginia Beach and <br />states that he has received some information on their procedure which he will turn <br />over to the City Manager. Also, would like to try the program in Portsmouth. <br /> <br />Councilman Moody spoke on the Retreat in Williamsburg. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Moody, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to hold the Council <br />Retreat in the City of Portsmouth. <br /> <br /> <br />
