<br /> Edwin S~m~pson, colored, has been a janitor at the Norcom High School
<br />for the past twenty-five yea~s and has rendered ~ai~l ser~_ce. About two weeks ago, he
<br />came do~n with a stroke and is now pez~manently incapicitated. There is no prevision under the
<br />State Retirement system to pension janitors. The School Board cannot lega!~grant a pensioz
<br />to anyone although from his long service, h e would deserve a pension if one could be granted.
<br /> The School Boa~d is bringing this to your attention to see whether or
<br />not you might find some way to g~ant him some help?
