<br />with the application for Federal Frauds to construct a municipal

<br />cated at 1402 Oouth ~., South aha Godwin Sts.) has been disapproved by me for the following
<br />teas CBS: -
<br /> 1st - T~is installation will create a greater hazard to the ~kter De-
<br />partment' s p~nping station.
<br /> 2nd - T!ais property is not zoned for such use.
<br /> '3rd - There is an ordinance creating a fire district arc-mud the Water
<br />Department's property. This ordinance prohibits such i nstalls£ion. The 0il Compsany plant is lo-
<br />cated within the boundaries of this fire district.
<br /> This is the third time that applications have been~ received requesting
<br />permission to install tanks on this or adjoining property. These requeszs 'have been turned by
<br />the Council.
<br /> The National Board of Fire Underv~iters and the Virginia inspection and
<br />Rating B~_~eau .have recommended that no such installation be allowed. This ?cleaning solvent has
<br />flash point in a class with fuel oil and kerosene.
