A~ appropriation of $9,000.00 to purchase a site for the proposed new colored High School, placed on .its first reading at thelast meetlng,~as taken up~ Notion of ~r. %~eiseman that the City 0otuncll appropriate ~9,000~00 for said purpose, was adopted, and bythe following vote: Ayes: Fox, Biliso!y, D~e, Henderson, Houghton, Howard, Sturtevant, Warren, Weisemsn, Wilson Nays: Hone t~W BUS IICES~ The following letter was read: "I, Christopher C, ~l~atts, a taxpaying citizen at 1050 F~fingham Ste, mu jointly, with other citizens, making a complaint regarding the vibration that the city b~s- es are making on Effingham Street. I wish to state that when these buses are passing, stop- ping and going from a stop, that they seem to make my ~nole house shake. They shake the house as badly, v~y~they d~sturb everyone in my house. They frighten and wreck. I have an aged mo- ther who is very sick and the Shock and vibration fr~u~he buses seem to upset her so they make her nervous and cause her to be set back when she could possibly be on the mend.
