The following letter from the City Attorney was read: <br /> <br /> ~Attached is a letter, a quitclaim deed and certified copy of a court <br />order sent to me by Clyde W. CoQper, attorney. ~. Cooper requests that the quitclaim deed be <br />executed ~y the City, in accordance with a court order entered by the Court of Hustings for th~ <br />City of Portsmouth, on April BOth, ~1949, wherein the court held that the Portsmouth Star Pub - <br />lishing Company is the Equitable Owner of the strip of land adjoining the Evergreen Memorial <br />Park Cemetery. The Coo~t decided the case against the City and directed that the deed be exe- <br />cuted." <br /> <br />Motion of ~. Howard that proper deed be executed, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mt. Hough_ton that the City Manager have a survey made of street <br />.lights in Arcadia Heights, was adopted. <br /> <br /> Mr. Grimes, Chairman o f the Committee to whom the letter from the Nor - <br />folk Naval Shipyard, regarding Sendell-Neville Dormitories, was referred, recommended that the <br />request be granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Mr. Grimes, the report of the co~aittee was adopted. <br /> <br />0n motion adjou~ned. <br /> <br />City Clerk. <br /> <br />Approved ~. ~Vic~· ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
