<br /> ~ The outlet systems are to be adequate for present and future require-
<br />ments of the areas to be Served, and-the port~ons of the systems that will u~timately serve
<br />areas outside the City a~e to be adequate f0r-such Se~vice~
<br /> The engineering services-proposed will include, (1) preliminary stu-
<br />dies ~nd estimates to-determine the-mos~ suitable and economical-arrangement of the outlet
<br />systems, t~unk sewers, and laterals, and (2) the detailed design, with preparation of plans
<br />and specifications, for the outlet systems a~nd for the principal tr~J-uk sewers. In the prelim-
<br />ina~y studies, consideration will ~be given to the lateral sewer a~rangements, insofar as they
<br />affect and govern the a~u~angements of principal trunk sewers aud outlets. The services we pro
<br />pose to furnish a~e more specifically described below:

<br /> As it has been some years since.the original general studies of the
<br />comprehensive plan requirements for the area were made, it is desirable at ~this t i~ '60 bring~
<br />these studies up to date, insofar as they wilI affect hhe design of the~proposed improvements~
<br />These studies would include present and probable future .development of ~he areas involved,the
<br />required capacities of various portions of the outlet system, th~ extent of the areas for whi~
<br />~dtu~e service should be provided, the general arrangement of the outlet systems, the most
<br />economical and ~ suitable layouts for trunk and lateral sewers, and estimates o f the construc-
<br />tion cost~ Six copies of a report embodying the results of the preliminary studies would be
<br />fu~nished~

<br /> The plans will b e prepared in a form similar to those for the PinUe~s
<br />Point-Sewage T~eatment Plant, being ~ep~oduced photographically on linen f~om pencil drawings.
<br />The specifications Will be. tYPed for reproduction by_the Ditto process. Six sets or'plans
<br />and. SpecifIcatibns will be fu~ish&dunder the above design fee, ~ud additional sets, as need-
<br />ed, will be furnished at actual reproduction cost.
<br /> ~ It is understood ~hat the City will co-operate wi~ the Engineers
<br />throughout the work, including the following major items:

<br /> (a) Place at the disposal of the Engineers all available
<br /> pertinent infoz'mation that the City may have or ~owhich
<br /> it may have access.
