<br />directed to request the City Council to make an appropmiation of $28,000., which would be avaml-
<br />able as soon as possible for expenses incurred toward the erection~f the new colored high
<br />school.
<br /> in the School Board's conference with the City Council on ~onday,
<br />October 31st~, the Board info~ned the City Co~_ucit at that time that there would be need in
<br />January of $25,000. for advanced pa~nments on the new colored high school building for test
<br />ings, purchase of fill dirt, and for aPchitect~al services. The Board finds, h~vever, that it
<br />failed to make a final request for this amount and is now doing so."

<br />resolutionagain stressing the urgent need of a band room at the ~oodrow Eilson High School
<br /> . ouncmt not exceeding $35,000.00, for the purpose

<br />of erecting a separate building on the grounds for this purpose.
<br /> This building will provide adequate facilities for band'instruc -
<br />tion and for storage o f instr~ents, aud will also make the present inadequate band room avail
<br />able for regular class rooms. The school is z~ow so crowded that 'this will furnish a very needs
<br />relief.
