042 February_ 11. 1997 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, February 11 1997, there were present: * Mayor James W. Holley II. Vice Mayor Johnny M. C~emons, Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James T. Martin. Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr.~J. Thomas E~enn Ill. Ronald W. Massie, City Manager, G. Timothy Oksman, City Attorney. 97-38 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room. 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 1997, for the purpose of a public.work session. In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. By order of the Mayor." 97-39 - The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: 1. Dog Bite Prevention Committee Report 2. Lee Hall Limited Partnership Revenue Bonds 3. City Council Retreat Follow-up Motion by Mr. Pitts and seconded by Mr. Martin, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Discussion of appointments by Council to committees, boards, or commissions, as permitted by Subsection (A)(1). (2) Discussion or consideration of the condition or use of real property for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held property, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). (3) Discussion or consideration of specific legal matters requiring the provision of legal advice by counsel, as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). The mOtion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, pursuant to Section 2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council.
