042 <br /> <br />February_ 11. 1997 <br /> <br /> At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, February 11 1997, there <br />were present: <br /> <br /> * Mayor James W. Holley II. Vice Mayor Johnny M. C~emons, Bernard D. <br />Griffin, Sr., James T. Martin. Cameron C. Pitts, P. Ward Robinett, Jr.~J. Thomas <br />E~enn Ill. Ronald W. Massie, City Manager, G. Timothy Oksman, City Attorney. <br /> <br />97-38 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City <br />Manager's Conference Room. 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:00 <br />p.m., Tuesday, February 11, 1997, for the purpose of a public.work session. <br /> <br />In addition, you may consider a motion to go into an Executive Session. <br /> <br />By order of the Mayor." <br /> <br />97-39 - The following items were discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Dog Bite Prevention Committee Report <br />2. Lee Hall Limited Partnership Revenue Bonds <br />3. City Council Retreat Follow-up <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Pitts and seconded by Mr. Martin, to go into Executive Session <br />pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: <br /> <br /> (1) Discussion of appointments by Council to committees, boards, or <br />commissions, as permitted by Subsection (A)(1). <br /> <br /> (2) Discussion or consideration of the condition or use of real property for a <br />public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held property, as permitted by <br />Subsection (A)(3). <br /> <br /> (3) Discussion or consideration of specific legal matters requiring the <br />provision of legal advice by counsel, as permitted by Subsection (A)(7). <br /> <br />The mOtion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br /> Motion of Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Robinett, pursuant to Section <br />2.1-344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's <br />knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: <br /> <br /> (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting <br />requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and <br /> <br /> (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by <br />which the Executive Session was convened, were heard, discussed or considered in <br />the meeting by the City Council. <br /> <br />The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />On motion meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED - <br /> <br /> Dr..James W.
