<br /> 1st - "'I am presenting a request from William L. Creekmore for a refund of money de-
<br />ducted from his salary for pension, while in the employ of the City as a police officer, and recommend that the
<br />rei%nd be granted."
<br /> Motion of Nr. Bilisoly to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager and that a
<br />refund of $71.tl be granted W.L.Creekmore, was adopted.
<br /> 2nd - "I submit an audit report from the Auditor of Public Accounts for the 'Civil
<br />and Police Court and Juvenile and Domestid Relations Court for the City of Portsmouth for the fiscal'year ende~
<br />June 30, 1951, and recommend that the Auditor of Public Accounts be employed to Install a modern accounting sys-
<br /> Notion of Mr. Smith to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager, was adopted.
<br /> 3rd - "I submit for your info.~mation a letter from Senator Byrd, .~lso communications
<br /> fram Senator Robertson and ~ongressman Hardy, concerning the matter of a commemorative stamp or coin for the
<br /> 200th arnaiversary of the City of Portsmouth,"
<br /> Motion of Mr. Weiseman that Congressman Hardy be contacted in reference to the neces-
<br /> sary ste~ to be takan for the Portsmouth Post Office to have a cancellation stamp co~maemorating the Portsmouth
<br /> Bi-Centennial, was adopted.
<br /> ~th - "I submit copies of the proposed budgets for the City ~ergeant, Commissioner
<br /> of Revenue, and Commonwealth Attorney for the calendar year 1952. This is for your consideration."
