<br />City of Portsmomth. ~hatever amount expended from this appropriation will be reimbursed to the General Fund by
<br />the Bond Fund when the bonds'have been sold."

<br /> 12th - "The question of damage claims by P.L. Guynn, H.L.Omtpepper and G.F.Brnwn was
<br />referred to the City Manager and City Attorney for a report; the claim being that the damage was caused by the
<br />overflow of water frsm the Portsmomth Ditch.
<br /> The total cta~,~ were is the sum of $24,181.O2, representing damage to crops
<br />and la~d. After mumerous conferences with the Attorney for the claimants, Mr. James Gerrett, and a conference
<br />at which the Attorney amd his clients met with the City Attorney, City Engiseer ane City Manager, and after
<br />your committee had made an offer to settle the claims on a basis of approx*mately 25% of the total amount
<br />w~aiCh 9flor was refused, Messrs. Guynn, Cmipepper and Brown, through their attorney, offered to accept fifty
<br />per cent of the total amount of their cla~m.~, plus the actual Court costs in the sum of $39.75, ma~isg a to~al
