<br />and vicinity, which is self-explanatory. It is my desire that a name be given the Tunnel which will meet with
<br />the approval of the people concerned. To that end, I am_ asking that by proper action of your body, you indicate
<br />your preference between the two names:
<br /> 1. Norfolk-Portsmouth or Portsmouth-Norfolk
<br /> 2. Elizabeth RIver.
<br /> Will you please advise me of the action taken as to your preference?"

<br /> Motion of Mr. Wilson that the City ~nager contact the School Authorities with referenc~
<br />to condition of the poles around the Sixth Avenue School playground, was adopted.

<br /> Motion of Mr. Wilson to refer to the City Manager the question of curbing and guttering
<br />o~Ann Street, in Shea's Terrace, w~s a~dopted.

<br /> Motion of Mr. Howard that a committee from the Council be appointed to appear before the
<br />Norfolk County B~rd of Supervisors ~ud contact the State Hig~hway Commission, seeking aid to improve the City
<br />Park Bridge, was adopted.
