Motion of Mr. Bilisoly to suspend the rules to take up the following petition and
to hear from anyone interested, was adopted:

"We, the undersigned taxpayers ~nd residents of the three hundred block of London
Street, between Oourt and Middle Streets.and the three hundred block of Court Street, between Queen and London
Streets, petition for the removal of the Community buses slong this block for the following reasons:

1. Fumes from the gas and oil are obnoxious.
2. Excessive noise day and night.
3. Increased congestion of traffic which was already heavy before they
were changed from Queen St. to London.
4. This is an entirely residential block, whereas Queen St. where formerly
they were operating, only has three residences, the remaining~part of that
block being occupied by a parking lot and a church on one side and business
firms on the opposite.
5. No bus stops are made in this 300 block of London St., so its traversal
is not a necessity fro~l the standpoint of service to the public.
6. Queen St., regardless of the parking meters, is wide enough to accommodate
the buses and is still in direct line of route for its destiuation, namely
Crawford St. We shall appreciate your giving this suggestion careful con -
sideration.
Respectfully submitted,
