September 23rd, 1952. <br /> <br />City did participate by employing the firm of Harrison Ballard aud Allen to bring up to date the Harlamd Bartho- <br />lomew Planning report. Since this work has been completed, I am of the opinion that the City Planning Commission <br />is 'in need of technical services to e~able them to properly function, and at the present time since the work of <br />the Housing Authority' and that of the City is.S& closAly associated in the field of planning, it w~Ald be in the <br />interest of the City to join with the H,asing Authority in this'program rather than at the present time employ a <br />f~ll time Planning Engineer. <br /> I recommend that an appropriation in the sum of $5,000.00 be placed on its first <br />reading for the purpose of employing technical personnel for the Planning Commission." <br /> <br /> Motion of F~r. Hawks to concur iu the reconm~ndation of the City Manager and that <br />he be authorized to transfer $5,000.00 from the Contingent Fund to the. Pla~hi~_ng and Zoning Commission, was adopted <br /> <br /> ~th - "l submit the attached letter from the Compensation Board to Kenneth A.Bain <br />wherein the Board has approved an increase in the salary of Nfs, Lilliau E. Since Captain ~hanuon had <br />more than twenty-five years of service, he is entttted to the i~,1t amount. Please authorize an additional refund <br />of $20~.06 to Nfs.
