Movember llth, 1952. <br /> <br />~ -- UNFL~ISHED BUSINESS - <br /> <br />The following ordinance, placed on. its first Teading at last ~meeting was taken up and read: <br /> <br />,,AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND AND RE-ORDAIN SECTION 6-15 OF THE CODE OF ~HE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1951, RELATING TO CHANGES FOR OP~Ni~G GRAVES~ <br /> <br /> On motion of Mr. Hawks, said or~nce was adopted, mud by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Dnke,Grimes, Hawks, Houshton, Howard, Lawrence, Smith, Sturtevant, ~Warren, ~ilson <br /> Nays: None - NE~ BUSI~]~S - <br /> <br /> The following letters from the Morris Company, L.E.Parker, President, and the Central Civic <br />Forum, H.A. Owens, Chairman, were read: <br /> <br /> 1st - nit appears that the golfing facilities *- Portsmouth will soon be inadequate since <br />the Glensheallah course will soon be discontinued. Since Portsmouth is one of the very few cities of its size <br />that does not have an eighteen hole course, we feel that every effor~ should be made to remedy this s~tuat_on. <br /> (Signed) L.E.
