<br />Motion of Mr. Howard to suspend the rules to hear from Mrs. Spong, Chairman of the

<br /> Mrs. Spong and Mr. Mapp spoke requesting the Council to approve the School Board's
<br />action in awarding the contract for the new Woodrow Wilson High School to Cramer-Vollmerhausen Company, the low
<br />bidder.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks that the School Board be authorized to award the contract to the
<br />
<br />low bidder, was adopted.
<br />
<br /> The following reports from committees were presented:

<br /> 5ir. Howard, repo~ti~g for the Committee to study the question of selling the properEy ~
<br />known as the Jeffery Wilson Home Site on Western Bra~h Road and Glasgow Street, recommended that the property be
<br />advertised forsale after proper restrictions have been established and approved by the P:lanning Commission.
<br /> On motion of Mr. Howard, the recommendation of the Committee was adopted.

<br /> The following reports from the City Manager were read:

<br /> Motion of Mr. Smith to concur in the recommendation of the City Manager was adopted.

<br /> 2nd - "I submit the attached report from J.L. Jolliff, Delinquent Tax Collector, for
<br /> the month of-April, 1953."
<br />
<br />"1. Period covered April 2nd to May 1st.
<br />2. Handed to Attorney 64 parcels of land, with buyers and having a tax
<br /> · value of $11,780.18 without penalties~
<br />3. Delinquent real estate taxes collected in,his office, prior to 1952,
