April 22. 1997 At a Called Meeting of the City Council on Tuesday, April 22, 1997, there were present: Mayor James W. Holley III, Vice Mayor Johnny M. Clemons, *Bernard D. Griffin, Sr., James T. Martin, Cameron C. Pitts, *P~ Ward Robinett. Jr., J. Thomas Benn III, Ronald W. Massie. City Manager. G. Timothy Oksman, City Attorney° 97-121 - The following call for the meeting was read: "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Manager's Conference Room, 6th floor of City Hall, 801 Crawford Street, at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 1997, for the purpose of an Executive Session. By order ofthe Mayor." Motion by Mr. Pitts, and seconded by Mr. Martin, to go into Executive Session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.1-344 of the Code of Virginia for the following: (1) Discussion or consideration of the condition or use of real property for a public purpose, or the disposition of publicly held property, as permitted by Subsection (A)(3). The motion was adopted by unanimous vote. Motion of Mr. Martin, and seconded by Mr. Pitts, pursuant to Section 2.1- 344.1 of the Code of Virginia certifying that to the best of the Council member's knowledge during the immediately preceding Executive Session of the City Council: (1) Only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and (2) Only such public business matters as were identified in the motion by which the Executive Session was convened were heard, discussed or considered in the meeting by the City Council The motion was adopted by unanimous vote.
