<br />over Route 58, Alternate 4B0 and 337 west of Alexander's Corner. I am snbnLitting a sketch that has been proposed
<br />by ~ir. Jordan. He has suggested that perhaps the Jordan Bridge Commission~ the Elizabeth River Tunnel Commission
<br />and the Portsmouth and Norfolk County Ferry would bear the expense of the signs. I am submitting it ~o the Coun-
<br />cil for your consideration."

<br /> 54-137. "I am reporting that a contract has been signed with the Fine Investment Company
<br />for the lease of property located on Green Street for a shed zype market building and Mr. Fine has let a contract
<br />for the building.
<br /> I recommend now that a deed be prepared and presented to George T. McLean, the
<br />purchaser of the Old Market Building, and chat the remainder of the funds due the City be paid over to the City
<br />Collector."
<br /> Motion of Mr. Bilisoly that a deed be prepared for the old market building and exet
<br /> cured when the newmarket building is completed~ wasadopted.

<br /> 54-138. "I am reportir~g that after several conferences with a majority of the automobile
<br /> dealers selling cars in the City of Portsmouth, we have reached a unanimous, agreement on classifying the varzous
<br /> cars for the purpose of purchasing on a competitive basis. We have now'three major classifications in car przces
<br /> ranging from a low of $1,668.00 Eo a high of $2,199.00."
