Willson. <br /> <br /> 01 - 144 - The following call for the meeting was read: <br /> <br /> "Please attend a Called Meeting of the City Council to be held in the City Council <br /> Chamber, 801 Crawrord Street, 6th floor, 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 8, 2001 for the <br /> purpose of a Public Work Session. <br /> <br /> In addition, you may consider a motion to go into a Closed Meeting. <br /> By order of the Mayor." <br /> 01 - 145 - The following item was discussed in Public Work Session: <br /> <br />1. Commission of Architectural Review Appeal for 435 Washington Street <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded:by Mr. Berm, to waive the rules of order to <br /> allow Mr. Heath an additional minute to speak, and ~vas adopted by unanimous vote. <br /> <br />1. Ed Heath, 450 Dinwiddie Street, spoke in support of the demolition of the structure <br /> at 435 Washington Street. <br /> <br />2. Doris K~ Leitner, 215 Glasgow Street, spoke in support of the Commission of <br /> Architectural Review's denial of the demolition application. <br /> <br /> Motion by Mr. Robinett, and seconded by Mr. Whitehurst, to concur with the <br />decision of the Commission of Architectural Review for Olde Towne, Cradock and <br />Truxtun to deny the demolition of a structure at 435 Washington Street, and was <br />adopted by a vote of 4-3 (Benn, Moody, Pitts), <br /> <br /> On motion, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Minutes prepar~gd"b~ <br /> <br /> icor .
