<br />At a regular meeting of the City Council, held on August 10th, 1954, there were present:

<br /> 54-219 - "I submit the attached letter'from Gen. James A. Anderson, Highway Commissioner, concern-
<br />ing the median strip on High Street in the City of Portsmouth. This is for your information."
<br />
<br />On motion filed.
<br />
<br /> Motion of Mr. Hawks that the City Council go on record as being ready to provide the neces-
<br />sary funds for the construction of the new City Park Bridge at such time as the State is ready to proceed with the
<br />construction, was adopted.
<br />
<br /> 54-220 - "I am submitting the attacked report from Delinquent Tax Collector. This report is for the
<br />months of May, June and July, 1954, for the City, in connection with annexation."
<br />
<br />On motion filed.
<br />
<br /> 54-221 "I recommend that the sum of $119,437.84 on first reading, to defray the cost .of the construc-
<br />tion of sanitary sewers in accordance with the attached estimates.
<br />
<br />Motion of Mr. Sturtevant to place an appropriation of $119,437.84 on first reading, for said
<br />
<br />reading."

<br />Motion of Mr. Hawks to place the following ordinance on first reading, was adopted:
