<br />miles of Portsmouth. Spacifically, the area would be Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Suffolk,
<br />Franklin~ Smlthfield, Williamsburg, Newpo~ Ne~s, WarwkLck m~d Hampton. Crawferd S.Rogers~
<br />Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Norfolk Por~ Authority, ie anxious to have
<br />the City of Portsmouth support the application of Nations. Airlines, Inc,, before the
<br />Civil Aeronautics Board. This Ls merelY urging that the C.A.B. approve the 3 temporary
<br />exemption i~sofar as the requirements of tk~ Act prevent National from performing
<br />such service at the present time. This phrase w~s practically copied from the applies-
<br />.t ion filed before the attorneys of the NationS/ Airlines. It might be well to ~ate that
<br />the temporary exemption would be pursuant to Section 416-B of the A.A. Act of 1938 as
