N~v~er 22nd, 1955. <br /> <br />the next meeting o£ the Board of Supervisors on the 2nd Tuesday in December, the 1Sth, at which time they hope to <br />be in a position to act on the City's offer." <br /> <br /> On motion filed. <br /> <br /> 55-308 - The following letters from the Com~i ssioner of Revenue were re,i: <br /> "Please be advised that C F Early, Sr. has been assessed for tangible personal <br />property valued at $1290.00 with taxes amotlnting to $35.48. Our investigation reveals that the correct assessment <br />should have been $1250.00 with EsEes amounting to $~.38. Mr. Early has paid the original tax of $35.48 as evi- <br />denced by his receipted tax bill ~4515. As this is~defiD/tely an overpayment o~ $1.10, we sincerely request that a <br />refund in the amount of $1.10 be made to Mr. <br /> "Please be advised that Cl%arlie E. Harr~ll was assessed for tangihlo personal <br />property valued at $2,140.00 with taxes amounting ro $58.85/ The assessment in question pertain's to a 1955 <br />Ford Sedan which was not owned by Mr. Harrell as of January 1, 1955. Our investigation reveals that the correct <br />automobile owned by him on January 1, 1955, was a 1950 two-door sedan ~hd the assessment on this car should have <br />been $440.00. ~ receipted{b~i~ll~ <br /> Mr. Harrell has paid the original tax of $5~.$5 as shown b~y <br />#6689. Howard that refunds be granted, was adopted. <br /> <br /> 55-309 - ~otion of NLr.
